In this course, our semester-long project focused on game design and asset development. My team created The Alchemist, an interactive cabin-themed potion game, where players explore the space, gather ingredients, reference a recipe book, and deliver potions out the door based on specific combinations.
My role centered on environmental asset creation and surfacing. I modeled a variety of in-world objects that brought the cozy, magical cabin to life — from furniture and props to interactive elements. I also surfaced every asset using Substance Painter and brought them into Unreal Engine, ensuring that the textures, lighting, and materials felt immersive and cohesive throughout the space.
This project strengthened my skills in game pipeline workflows, texture painting, and real-time engine implementation, while also reinforcing the importance of consistency and storytelling in world building.
